“Hands Up” Series: The first eight paintings

I’ve just completed the first eight small paintings for the “Hands Up” series. I’m considering painting at least one every time the police kill an unarmed person in 2016. Perhaps, I will name each painting after the victim. This is not about the guilt or innocence of the victim, but the police behavior which unjustly threatens lives, especially those of people of color.
